Module 4 — Workforce

This final module will discuss the very real, intense, and often painful experience of TCW professionals. Daily, these professionals work with children and families who are experiencing significant pain, loss, and grief. The module builds on the idea that in order to achieve the effects and outcomes sought collectively across the community, resilience must be centered not only for the families being served but also for the professionals supporting them. The module outlines considerations for concrete, tangible strategies that communities, organizations, and individuals can implement to support and sustain resilience within the TCW workforce.

Learning Objectives for Module 4

Participants will:

  • Learn how to cultivate a resilience-informed culture within TCW programs.
  • Learn how resilience-informed care can empower a TCW program to address secondary traumatic stress and vicarious trauma.
