Parents as Teachers (PAT)

The CSK Home Visiting Program uses a culturally-adapted "Parents as Teachers" program to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development, improve parenting practice, provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues, prevent child abuse and neglect, and increase school readiness.

The CSK Home Visiting Program uses a culturally adapted "Parents as Teachers" program to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development, improve parenting practice, provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues, prevent child abuse and neglect, and increase school readiness. This program helps to build a tribal community where families and children are empowered, culturally informed and personally connected to one another in a way that supports good health, strong socio-emotional skills and a positive sense of self-identity.
